How to Clean a Tower Air Fryer in Just 5 Easy Steps
Step 1: Unplug and Disassemble the Fryer
Before you can begin to clean your tower air fryer, you’ll need to completely unplug the appliance and take it apart. Start by removing the basket from the fryer and setting it aside. Then, take off the lid and the handle, which should be attached with two screws. Finally, remove the oil pan and the air-fryer heating element.
Step 2: Wash the Fryer Parts
Once the fryer is disassembled, you can begin cleaning each part. Start by washing the basket and lid in warm, soapy water. Use a soft-bristled brush to remove any stuck-on food particles. Then, give the oil pan and heating element a good scrub with a non-abrasive sponge. Be sure to rinse each part thoroughly before setting it aside to air dry.
Step 3: Wipe Down the Fryer Exterior
Now you can begin to clean the exterior of the air fryer. Use a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe down the outside of the fryer, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies. If you come across any stuck-on grease or grime, you can use a bit of all-purpose cleaner on the cloth to help loosen it. Once you’re finished, be sure to dry the outside of the fryer with a clean cloth.
Step 4: Clean the Fryer Filter
Most tower air fryers come with an air filter that helps to remove cooking odors from your kitchen. To keep your fryer working efficiently, you should give this filter a good cleaning every few weeks. Start by removing the filter and soaking it in warm soapy water for 10 minutes. Use a soft brush or cloth to get rid of any dirt or debris that’s built up. Once you’ve finished, rinse the filter thoroughly and set it aside to dry.
Step 5: Reassemble and Test the Fryer
Once all of the fryer parts are clean and dry, you can reassemble the appliance. Start by replacing the heating element and the oil pan. Then, attach the handle and lid with the two screws. Finally, replace the basket and plug in the fryer. To make sure everything is working correctly, give the fryer a test run. Once you’re sure that the fryer is functioning properly, you’re done!
