How to Easily Clean Stuck-on Grease from Your Air Fryer Basket
Introduction
Air Fryers are a great addition to any kitchen, allowing you to cook healthy and delicious meals with minimal effort. But if you don’t clean your air fryer basket regularly, grease can build up and cause food to stick and burn. Thankfully, there are easy steps you can take to make sure your air fryer basket remains clean and grease-free.
Step 1: Pre-Cleaning
Before you start cleaning your air fryer basket, make sure it is cool. Then, take the basket out and shake off any excess food or debris. Next, fill the sink with warm, soapy water and add a few drops of dish detergent. Submerge the basket and let it soak for at least 15 minutes.
Step 2: Scrubbing
After the basket has soaked, take a non-abrasive scrub brush and scrub away any stuck-on grease. For tougher spots, use a paste of baking soda and water to help break down the grease. You can also use a toothbrush to get into hard-to-reach areas.
Step 3: Rinse and Dry
Once all the grease is gone, rinse the basket with warm water to remove any soap residue. Then, shake off any excess water and let the basket air dry, or dry it with a clean cloth.
Step 4: Reassemble the Fryer
Once the basket is dry, reassemble the air fryer and start cooking. To make sure your fryer stays clean, empty it and clean the basket after each use. And make sure to give your air fryer a deep clean every month or two to keep it running smoothly.
