How to Deep Clean Your Air Fryer
What You’ll Need
To deep clean your air fryer, you’ll need a few simple tools and materials:
- Dish soap
- White vinegar
- Sea salt
- A soft cloth
- A toothbrush
- A toothpick or cotton swab
Step 1: Clean the Basket and Pan
The first step to deep cleaning your air fryer is to clean the basket and pan. Start by removing the basket and pan, and emptying any food scraps or debris.
Fill your sink with warm soapy water and submerge the basket and pan. Allow them to soak for at least 10 minutes, then use a soft cloth to gently scrub away any remaining food residue. Rinse the basket and pan with clean water and set aside to dry.
Step 2: Clean the Exterior
Once the basket and pan are clean, it’s time to clean the exterior of the air fryer. Start by wiping down the exterior with a damp cloth and a small amount of dish soap.
Once you’ve wiped down the exterior, it’s time to tackle the hard-to-reach areas. Use a toothbrush to scrub away any stuck-on debris, and a toothpick or cotton swab to get into the hard-to-reach nooks and crannies.
Once you’ve removed all the debris, wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
Step 3: Clean the Interior
The next step is to clean the interior of the air fryer. Start by pouring a cup of white vinegar into the fryer and allowing it to sit for 10 minutes.
After the 10 minutes are up, pour a cup of sea salt into the fryer and use a soft cloth to scrub away any stuck-on debris. Rinse the interior with clean water, then dry with a soft cloth.
Step 4: Reassemble and Enjoy
Once the basket and pan are dry, reassemble your air fryer and enjoy!
